Web Page Language Translator
Here's a Christmas gift.
This program will translate any web page from any one of the following 6 languages to any of the others:
- Spanish
- French
- German
- Italian
- Portuguese
- English
It translated one of my blog pages from English to Spanish in 30 seconds! I was then able to save the result as a html file.
Even if you are not working in the multicultural area, this could provide a good pastime for the Christmas holidays.
The link below takes you to a zipped file which when unzipped will reveal three files -
- PT.exe
- ReadMe.txt
- Website.zip
You will only need to open the first one - PT.exe
(Unless of course you want to sell this program on the Internet for anything up to US$29.95 - then you will need the text file instructions and the complete marketing website provided)
Once you open PT.exe, it will take you through a simple install wizard and place an icon on your computer (yes, another one!).
Click the icon and bingo you get the following screen to play with:
Do you have people that visit your site and do not understand English? Or have you ever visited a site that was in French, Spanish, or some other language and had NO clue what it said? Well this script will use the fabulous translation routines at Google.com to convert these pages into something you and your visitors can understand!
Simply enter the URL you want translated, then select the language the page is written in and also the language you want it translated to. It will then create an html page that you can place on your web site that will automatically call the google routines and translate the page.

Hi Ron,
I wonder how good the translation is? I've used a couple of the internet translation programs, like Babel, but they don't always do a very good job of it. Still, it may give the receivers a bit of a laugh!
