This resource looks at uses for quizzes, short answer questions and discussion groups and is produced by the University of South Australia.

It discusses the advantages and disadvantages of each approach, provides tips for success and traps to avoid, and identifies the necessary skills for each approach.

Great reference thanks Ron. We're currently moving some our trade training into flexible delivery and will include excerpts from this reading into the teacher's Users Manual. Whilst online quizzes can lighten their admin load, they need to be constructed objectively AND provide suitable feedback if they're to be used as a learning tool as well as an assessment item. Cheers
